Post#5 Adapting to Culture

To adapt to culture in Canada I often went to any store. In Canada when I enter the store, some clerks say “Hello” or “How’s it going?” I think this is a good opportunity to know about culture because in Japan most of clerks don’t try to take small talk. However, I always really feel frustrated because I can’t understand what they said due to my poor English. It is also true that this feelings give me motivation to study English, so I will go to any store every weekend. Someday, I want to talk with clerks such as other people in Canada.

By the way, I began to watch TV drama, “Happy Endings” , which is popular drama in America, to improve listening skill and to understand culture in North America. Exactly, I can’t understand everything, so I watch same part many times. I believe this is good method because I can study English while I enjoy watching.

In addition, I will be able to understand culture by watching this drama. Sometimes I can’t understand why many people are laughing. I think there are differences of humor between Japan and Canada. Therefor I will be able to understand meaning of any joke in Canada.

Post #4 Long Weekend

I'd like to wrrite about my long weekend.

I went to Prince's island park.

That was a nice place because this park is large and has a beautiful nature. In addition, that is close from downtown.

I also like taking picture, so I went to there with my camera.

This bridge is Peace Bridge.

I like this park and bridge.

I will certainly go to this park soon. 

Post#3 Success

                It is difficult to think about success. Because I’ve never experienced success which I hope for. However, I always hope for success even if I don’t know what is success. The success may be getting much money for me. I have many things which I want to challenge but I don’t have enough money. For example, I’m supposed to stay for 5 months in Calgary. If I had much money, I could extend a stay. It is true that money can’t buy everything but I think money is a kind of important things.

                I need much failure to succeed. Because I can learn more information through failure than success. When my challenge is false, I always think a lot about cause of failure, and I deal with that in a different way. I think trial and error is essential to progress and succeed.

This song gives me courage to make a step forward, so every time I am down I listen to this music and I am given courage.It won't be sometimes well. When sometimes I need help, I listen to music and relax. I believe music can save people.
